27th FOUNDER’S WEEK CELEBRATION 2022
Vivek High School proudly began the celebration of the 27th Founder’s Week by paying tribute to the founding alma progenero, the nourishing father, Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mamik on his birth anniversary. We began this year’s events, on 20th October 2022, with the Junior Wing production, ‘Matilda’, a theatre adaption of the beloved book by the incomparable Roald Dahl. This play was well-directed by Mr. Vikaramjeet Singh Mamik showcasing his indomitable style which translated this classic into a captivating hour performance by 120 students of Grade 3. The play brought forth the life of the five-year-old prodigy Matilda and the evolution of her relationship with her teacher Ms. Honey and aunt Agatha Trunchbull. It was nothing short of a spectacular performance by the children who aced in all aspects of dramatics while staging this Broadway classic. It was a story of the magic of childhood, the power of imagination and an extraordinary girl who dared to take a stand and change her own destiny. This play clearly set the bar many notches higher as it started the Founder’s 2022 with a definite bang. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this year Junior Wing play added another multi-coloured feather to the ever-glowing hat of Vivek High School.
