The students of the Indo – German Exchange project were privileged to have a first hand account from eminent senior citizens of Chandigarh . The august panel included Brig. Jagjit Singh, Brig. Gobindar Singh & Mrs. Devi Singh, Mr. Amrik Singh Sandhu & Mrs . Sukh Bans Kaur. The senior citizens recalled the horrors of partition and also implored the young students not to differentiate between religions and to keep religion apart from day to day life. The students participated actively and interacted with the august panel. This interaction was most valuable as the students are working on a project on Understanding Our Borders and expressing them through art under the aegis of Max Mueller Bhavan , New Delhi and sponsored by the Robert Bosch Foundation.
