A delegation of International Students visited and interacted with the faculty members, students and research scholars of the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies. The Chairperson of the Department of Gandhian and Peace Studies, Dr. Manish Sharma and Dr. Parvinder Singh, the Controller of Exams received and welcomed the delegates on behalf of the University and Department. The delegation was part of Vivek High School’s project on “Understanding our borders and expressing it through art”. The Delegates were part of two German schools, Alice Eleonoren Schule and Schuldorf Bergstrasse, Darmstadt, Germany. This project is under the aegis of Deutsches Indisches Klassenzimmer – 2014 an initiative by the Max Muller Bhavan, New Delhi and sponsored by the Robert Bosch Foundation. The delegates interacted with the faculty members by raising certain questions on the Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and his relevance for the coming generations. The delegates also visited the Departmental Library and the Committee Room where the exhibition on Gandhi’s Thoughs related to vashnav elements was also appreciated by all. In the end, Dr. Parvinder Singh, Controller of Examination, Panjab University thanked all the Delegates and the faculty members from the Vivek High School for visiting the campus and Gandhi Bhawan.
