Thematic Assemblies in the Lower Elementary

Amazon and Narmada

Communication as we know it today evolved over a period of time.

Students of classes 1, 2 & 3 of Amazon and Narmada, took every one on an exciting journey as they unfolded how communication had changed dramatically since ancient times. Along with having fun, it was a wonderful learning experience as the children were involved every step of the way. Firstly, when they did the research; then in making the timeline of communication and finally when it was presented through enactment, choral recitation, melodious singing and graceful dancing.

Danube and Tigris

The thematic assembly of Danube and Tigris was performed on the topic of Money. Through an engaging and interactive presentation, the students brought forth their meticulous research on the Timeline of Money. They eloquently traced the evolution of currencies from ancient times, predating the Christian Era. With enthusiasm, they highlighted the intriguing Barter system as the initial form of trade, gradually progressing to diverse currencies across history.

Thereafter, the enraptured audience was invited to a session of quizzes, riddles and jokes. This was followed by foot tapping songs and some enchanting dancing.

The parents were treated to a fascinating display of the children’s poems on Money, on the soft boards outside the auditorium.

Independence Day Assembly

Environments Ganges, Godavari, Nile and Indus from Lower Elementary, marked the significance of India’s Independence Day, through a special assembly, in the school auditorium. The assembly included patriotic songs by the Junior Wing Choir, dances celebrating this glorious event, a poem highlighting the unique aspects of India, tributes to our courageous freedom fighters and some informative facts related to India. While commending the young talents for their magnificent and dynamic performance, the Head of the Junior Wing, Ms Meenu Sahi encouraged the children in the audience to embrace the essence of Independence by vowing to combat pollution in all its forms and limit their usage of digital devices.
