LIQUIDATION OF JA STUDENT COMPANY
ZAZA’S FREAKY FRIES AND LEMONZY
The JA student company 2016-17 voluntarily liquidated all its operations. The company was started on 25 October 2016, with a capital of Rs. 16,500, distributed into 1650 shares @ Rs.10 each. The company earned a revenue of Rs. 1,43,442 from the sale of freaky fries and lemonzy. After deducting all expenses from the revenue, the company earned a net profit of Rs. 38,847.
The board recommended a dividend of Rs.23 per share on paid up equity capital of the company to those shareholders whose names appear on the register of members as on the date of books closure. Amount returned per share is Rs. 33.
The company members had promoted a scheme, “Employee of the month” to encourage students and give them recognition for their work and efforts. The company programme has been once in a lifetime experience for the students. They had an opportunity to develop interpersonal skills and enhance their communication skills. Most importantly, they got hands on experience of how to run a company and the level of commitment and professionalism required for the same.
