Vivek High School

Earth Day

Vivek High School celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm to spread awareness on April 22, 2026 about environmental conservation and sustainable living. This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” highlighted the importance of adopting clean and renewable energy sources. Students of the Eco Club presented an awareness speech on issues such as waste management, plastic pollution, energy conservation, and e-waste management. Informative videos and an interactive quiz made the programme engaging and meaningful for the students. A pledge was also administered to conserve water and natural resources and to promote clean, green, and renewable energy.

The occasion also marked the distribution of Green Olympiad certificates. The Green Olympiad, organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and endorsed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, witnessed participation from 30 students of the school. Among them, 7 students received the Certificate of Distinction, 17 were awarded the Certificate of Merit, and 6 received Certificates of Participation.

The celebration concluded with a strong message encouraging everyone to take small but meaningful steps towards building a cleaner and greener future.
