Mr. Aashutosh Jerath, an alumnus of the batch of 1990 was in school today to deliver a talk to the senior students on ‘Leadership and Team Building’. Mr. Jerath spoke about the importance of united teams, effective leadership and stressed on inculcating the right attitude and passion for being a good leader. He gave many relevant examples that made his talk very interesting and engaging. He also shared his experiences at Vivek High and thanked the school for sowing the seed of high performance in him. Mr. Aashutosh Jerath did his electrical engineering from PEC in the year 1997 and then completed his masters in general management from IIM Bangalore with distinction. From 1997 to 2005 Mr. Jerath worked with the power distribution sector where he was handling designing, fabrication, testing and quality control of electrical distribution panels. In 2005 he shifted to the Education sector and became the Northern Region Business head for Bulls Eye. From mid 2008 till Nov 2011 he worked for Career Launcher as the Associate Vice President & Northern Region head and was in charge of branches in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and J&K in addition to the company owned center at Chandigarh. Post Dec 2011, he became an entrepreneur and started his own institute by the name of JITM (Jerath Institute of Training and Management). JITM was set up with the singular objective of improving the communication skills, soft-skills and behavioral skills of students and professionals. He is currently pursuing law from Punjab University. Overall, in the last 15 years he has honed the skills and transformed the careers of over 15,000 students and professionals. Aashutosh’s repertoire comprises of soft skill training, behavioral training and devising business communication tools.
