Mrs. Komal Talwar, an alumnus of the Batch of 1995 was back in school for the Alumni Talk held on the 17th of April 2015. Mrs. Komal Talwar is the founder and director of a leading intellectual property firm – TT Consultants. After her schooling at Vivek High, she did her post graduation from LSR Delhi and St Xaviers College, Mumbai and also holds a degree in Law. She started the company in 2006 in the basement of her house, with one employee and a seed investment of INR 1600. The company today has more than 110 professionals (engineers, lawyers and MBAs) and is self-funded till date. Her thrive for innovation and dynamic business skills, have helped the company expand its services overseas and make a global appearance, through offices in India, US and Taiwan and top clients across the world. Mrs. Talwar has been recognized with several prestigious awards like the “Woman Entrepreneur of the year 2010”, “TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs), Stree Shakti Emerging Woman Entrepreneur of the Year – 2011” and “Small Scale Industry of the Year 2012” at the Emerging India Awards organized by CNBC TV-18 and ICICI Bank in Mumbai and many more. She has also been featured in “Chandigarh and its leading personalities” a book by Aneesh Bhanot. Mrs. Talwar spoke to the senior students about her journey from school to college and her decision about becoming an entrepreneur and setting up her own company. She stressed on how important it is to study hard in school and be professionally qualified so as to have a secure and bright future. She shared her many enthralling experiences about her career journey with the students and patiently responded to all the queries by them.
