The English Fiesta was conducted on Monday, 27th April, for students of Grades 7 and 8. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from eight schools, with a total of 30 participants.
All participants arrived on time and completed the registration process smoothly. The students were then organised into two rooms, each accommodating a mix of participants from both categories—Poetry Recitation (Grades 5 and 6) and Storytelling (Grades 7 and 8). Each participant showcased commendable confidence, performing with expressive delivery, effective voice modulation, and, most importantly, great enthusiasm.
The preliminary round posed a challenging task for the judges, as the students delivered impressive and engaging performances. After careful consideration, five students from each category were selected to advance to the final round.
In the final round, participants performed before a larger audience, demonstrating even greater confidence and stage presence. The competition concluded with Avedita Jain securing the first position in Poetry Recitation, and Poshita Ira Java securing the first position in Storytelling.
Overall, the fiesta proved to be an engaging and enriching experience, where students not only performed but also learned by observing their peers.
