Vivek High School organized another successful edition of its biennial Model United Nations Conference from the 10th to 13th April 2025. The 8th edition of VHS MUN 2025 unfolded as a four-day celebration of diplomacy, global consciousness, and transformative dialogue.
Rooted in the compelling theme – ‘Be the Change: Juntos Sin Miedo (Together, Unafraid)’, the conference brought together over 180 young delegates from across the country and inspired them to lead with courage, speak with conviction, and collaborate without hesitation.
The Conference commenced with our Principal, Mrs. Renu Puri lighting the auspicious lamp at the Opening Ceremony, on the 10th of April. The Chief Guest for the evening, Col. Sudeep Singh Sahi, spoke at length about the current geopolitical landscape, drawing attention to ongoing conflicts, shifting power dynamics, and pressing global issues such as climate change, cyber threats, and international cooperation. Drawing from his rich experience in the armed forces and his keen insights on global affairs, he discussed the growing relevance of Model United Nations Conferences in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
The ceremony was a lively affair with the mesmerizing composition of the prayer dance, the school band’s exhilarating performance and the electric bollywood hip-hop medley that got the delegates grooving, setting the tone for the coming four days of excitement. At the end of the ceremony, Aarav Joshi, the Secretary-General of VHSMUN25, declared the conference officially open.
This year’s conference included following committees which engaged delegates in thought-provoking discourse around globally and regionally urgent issues, each driven by a distinct agenda carefully curated to reflect the spirit of the theme:-
