The Round Square Global Conference 2026 was held at Cheongshim International Academy, South Korea, from 8–12 February 2026, on the theme- A Baraza for Hope in Sustainable Culture. The student delegates – Amanat Sekhon, Abhay Kanwardeep Singh, Angad Singh Dhillon, Sana Toor, Saanvi Mangla, and Yashree Bhasin – were accompanied by an Adult Delegate Ms. Anu Sharma. The conference commenced with engaging ice-breaking sessions and an inspiring opening ceremony with many cultural and pop-cultural performance, setting a vibrant tone for the days ahead. Following this an opening speech by the academy principal, Mr. Jung Sung Eun and the Head of the school Round Square Committee, Mirae Kim.
The itinerary combined cultural exploration, collaborative learning, sustainable practices and recreation. Students visited Gyeongbokgung Palace, experiencing Korea’s rich heritage. They also explored a traditional village, attended a theatre performance in Hongdae, and enjoyed the famous Nanta show. Daily keynote speeches were also given by Baraza Leaders. These sessions encouraged thoughtful discussions and teamwork, while sports activities fostered camaraderie and enthusiasm.
One of the highlights was the visit to Lotte World, where students enjoyed rides and shared memorable moments. Evenings were filled with meaningful activities, including watching the movie Wonder, reflective Baraza discussions, and a lively cultural night featuring performances and a dance celebration.
The conference concluded with Baraza group presentations and a closing ceremony where students received awards. Sana of Baraza group Byeol was awarded the Round Square Certificate of Excellence, and Angad Singh Dhillon of Baraza group On, was awarded the Round Square Certificate or Merit. Throughout the journey, the delegation remained engaged, responsible, and enthusiastic. The Round Square Global Conference 2026 proved to be a rewarding experience, blending cultural immersion, leadership development, and global friendship in an enriching international setting.
