A delegation of nine students , namely, Aabia Kahai (IX C), Jaiveer Singh (IX C), Gaurya Singla (IX D), Dilraj Singh Dhillon (X B), Raghav Kaushish (X D), Varleen Kaur (X C), Mitul Kaul (X D), Aryaman Singh (X D) and Lakshayjeet Singh (X D) represented Vivek High School at the Modern School Barakhamba MUN in New Delhi from 4th to 6th October 2019.
The delegates deliberated upon various topics like – Climate Change in UNGA and AOSIS, Yemen Humanitarian Crisis in UNHRC, Global Economic Cooperation in UNESCAP and Ayodhya Ram Mandir Dispute in AIPPM.
National Security Council (NSC) and Iran Nuclear Negotiation Committee (INNC) were crisis committees in which the delegates dealt with a situation related to Surgical Strikes and Iran Nuclear Deal respectively.
The delegates got an enriching experience after participating in this high level of debate.
Mitul Kaul (X D) and Aryaman Singh (X D) won a Special Mention (3rd prize) in the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) representing Dominican Republic as a double delegation.
