‘It was always you” is a modern contemporary dance production put on by students from grades 7 to 12 conceptualised and choreographed by Puneet Jawanda and Kritika Sawhney from The Engine Room.
The energetic foot tapping numbers and versatile dancing represents the journey of a young girl trying to find hope and love in a world where these emotions have just become another word. She still dances through hard times, takes chances and wears her heart on her sleeve, in the hope that one day, destiny will bring the boy of her dreams to her.
It is rightly said that the universe responds to what we believe in, that it garners hope and allows it to bloom into something extraordinarily beautiful, worthwhile and magical. It is Hope; that insists, despite there being evidence to the contrary, that there is something better and more wonderful out there that awaits us. We live in Hope. And when that ounce of Hope emerges from our hearts, nothing in the world can stop us from attaining what we believe in.
