Students and staff of Vivek High School Chandigarh celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and full enthusiasm. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion. The celebrations began with a shabadh by the School Choir. Harshpreet Kaur of 8 D sang the shabadh, Amrit pivo sada chir jivo…… har simrat anad ananta.
Ms. Manjeet Kaur enlightened the audience by giving a special talk on Baisakhi. Paravi of 10 C explained the audience about the importance of Baisakhi and the creation of Khalsa Panth. Gunit of 8 D recited a self-composed poem name ‘Suneha’ which aptly explained the history of Khalsa Panth and Paanj Piyare. The assembly concluded with Ardaas to the almighty and distribution of Kadha Parsad.
