Baisakhi Celebration at Vivek High School

“Golden fields sway in joy, the harvest songs arise,
Baisakhi brings hope and light, beneath the glowing skies.”

On 9th April 2026, Vivek High School witnessed a vibrant and spiritually uplifting celebration of Baisakhi. The school assembly, organized by the Punjabi Department, beautifully reflected the cultural richness and deep significance of this auspicious festival.

The program began on a soulful note with the Senior Wing Choir presenting the Shabad “Khalsa Mero Roop Hai Khaas.” Their melodious and heartfelt rendition filled the atmosphere with devotion and pride, reminding everyone of the values of courage, unity, and selflessness. The message conveyed through the Shabadh inspired students to uphold righteousness and serve humanity with humility.

Adding to the knowledge and awareness, Raihat Kaur Brar and Aarna Gulati delivered an informative presentation highlighting the importance of Baisakhi. They eloquently explained its historical and cultural relevance, including its association with the harvest season and the formation of the Khalsa. Their presentation was both engaging and enlightening for the audience.

The celebration was further enriched by a beautiful poem and a value-based message shared by Sunena Ma’am. Her words emphasized gratitude, hard work, and the spirit of togetherness, encouraging students to appreciate the blessings of nature and recognize the tireless efforts of farmers.

The highlight of the assembly was the energetic Bhangra performance at the end. The lively beats and enthusiastic dance moves brought the stage to life, filling the environment with joy and excitement. It truly captured the festive spirit of Baisakhi and left everyone cheering.

Overall, it was a memorable and inspiring assembly that seamlessly blended devotion, knowledge, cultural expression, and celebration, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
