A session on “Swachhata Ki Paathshala was held on 14th September at Vivek High School, Chandigarh. It was an initiative of the Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. During the session the students were made aware regarding segregation of waste at source level, stopping the usage of plastic products and home composting through video clips.
The team leader of “Chandigarh Challengers” Mr. Rohit Kumar apprised the students of the ‘Indian Swachhta League’ and motivated them to work towards making Chandigarh clean and garbage free. The campaign aims to impress upon young minds the importance of sustainable waste management and preservation of the environment by bringing about a behavioural change in people regarding healthy sanitation practices.
Swachhta pledge was also taken by all the students to remain committed towards cleanliness.
