Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme

At Vivek High School, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme runs from Grades 6-8. It helps prepare students for the next step of their education, providing a clear path as they progress through the Cambridge Pathway (progression to Grade 9-10) in an age-appropriate way.

The curriculum is delivered through Cambridge endorsed resources- The Cambridge University Press coursebooks: English, mathematics and science curriculum offers many opportunities to develop creativity, expression, and wellbeing in a variety of ways.

Besides assessing the understanding of the students during term, assessment for learning also takes place in the classroom through discussion, observation, and lesson outputs where the faculty provides formative feedback on the skills, we want learners to develop so that they can reflect on and improve their performance.

Half yearly and year-end assessments are based on Cambridge Lower Secondary Progression Tests provided by Cambridge Assessment International Education. They come with clear guidance, standards and mark schemes and provide detailed information about the learner’s performance.
